IMO the very concept of :
A.) The gov't. asking for it back, and
B.) Actually thinking that their GIVING it back is a possibility,
is beyond absurd.

Back in WWII, if a V1 hit the ground in England but didn't explode and the german govt. asked the british to give it back, is it a big stretch to predict the outcome?

Is anyone else reminded of the (albeit remote) parallels to the U2 crashing in Russia back in the early '60's?
In that instance, Khruschev played Eisenhower like a two-dollar fiddle. I'm very curious to see how this one plays out.
