Count: You have nice point about keeping that which is pristine -- pristine. Goodness knows a lot of folks agree with you. I just cannot get my brain around that concept. If to keep something pristine, I have to render it useless, then I have no use for it -- especially if it costs a lot of money.
Where my argument is weak is in matters of art. I have paid some big bucks for paintings -- and all they are good for is accenting a room and looking at -- but that is their function. It you collect guns as works of art, then you got me -- but then we would have a disagreement on taste.
