Can you fit three 000 buckshot into a .357 Magnum case? I have always used 231 in my multi ball loads. I find that 5.0 grs. is very forgiving as a starting point.
Another trick is to use Frontier plated bullets with new brass and a firm roll crimp. This will cause the sharp edges of the case mouth to bite into the plating and the copper base will separate when it leaves the barrel, cutting a perfectly round second hole through a cardboard target out to at least 7 yds. I discovered this quite by accident with my 8 shot .38 Super at an ICORE match and I suppose it can be duplicated on demand.
