The Ohio Department of Corrections (sort of a police agency, yes?) just did exactly that. Effective October 2011, they got rid of their 10's and 64's.
Traded them to Vance's in Columbus who is the armorer for most of the outfits in Ohio. More than a thousand, I was told by the clerk.
Most are gone, including the 64-5 I got for $279. The remaining 50 or so M10's are in last week's ad for $219.
