They had the medium grip on the FS M&Ps that I rented. For reference, I have my 9c outfitted with the large grip.
My problem with the FS M&Ps (and maybe it's because I lack experience) is that my left hand would partially lose it's grip after taking a shot. I rented a S&W 1911 E series that same day and did not have that problem.
