I'm new to the forum but have found it useful so far. I've done a lot of research and am pretty convinced that I want to pick up a Sport soon. The fact that you guys all seem to love yours certainly makes me more confident in my decision. My only question is whether anyone has had any issues with the lack of the forward assist and dust cover that many ARs have. I never really thought of it as a problem although some guy at a local gun shop lately tried to convince me I needed a DPMS or Bushmaster for double the price. As far as I know, early ARs didn't have either and I'm not planning on taking the thing to Kandahar (although I have the utmost respect for the men and women that are over there). Is this really an issue or just a salesman trying to sell me something I don't want or need?
