+2 on the AFG (2 here). Feels really natural once you try it.

However, I also have a vertical grip for close-in shots, so my lower rail has an AFG2 near the business end and the RVG behind that, in front of the mag well.

RVG would be a good choice for a vertical - compact, with a nice oval profile in the hand and also allows use of the thumb-over grip.
