My 1917 Colt had a set of Jay Scott black pearls on it when I bought it. Probably why I got it so cheap.

As noted above , Jay Scott grips was a division of Colt , and made their original grips as well as a huge aftermarket line for darn near every other brand and model. Almost every large gunshow I've been to has at least one table full of old Jay Scott grips.

They were well made of quality materials and exotic woods and fit rather well , but some styles were somewhat odd to downright bizarre.
