You can shoot 158 grain 357's through that model 19 with no worries. The alleged "weakness" of K-frame magnums in general, and the 19 in particular has been way overblown by the internet.

Keep the barrel and forcing cone free of lead build up. Stay away from the hot 125 grain 357 loads. Do these two things and your great grandchildren will be enjoying that fine revolver. Regards 18DAI
