The 5.7 was used by the crazy "Dr" at Ft Hood on that very sad and horrific day.

The 5.7 was originally developed for use in the P90 Bullpup and then the handgun for the same round.

It is a deadly accurate round with little recoil. Search the 5.7 forum.

Yes, they are sort of kinda close but there again not.
The ballistics here look the same but the 22 Mag is from a 24" barrel and the 5.7 is from a 10" barrel.

I have shot both and other than the "cool" factor if there is such a thing, I see no reason for the round for my personal use (besides the expense) But then I see not reason for the 22 Mag either.
