I have one 1911, and a half-dozen other 45's. The one that gets carried the most lately is this one-off EAA Witness, converted to single-action and fitted with a coned barrel. It's a good mate for my Witness Match, the most accurate 45 I've ever seen.
This Bersa UC 45 (Ultra Compact) two-tone is a favorite for CCW, despite it's long DA trigger. It holds eight and is barely bigger than the .380 it replaced.
Bought strictly for Winter carry, this early FNP 45 (no safety, decocker only) holds lots of ammo and shoots VERY well. It thrives on the hottest ammo, so that's what I feed it. It pounds steel plates like the Hammer of Thor!
