Hello from the Southern Tier/Corning NY area.

I'm a "late bloomer" in terms of firearms (nothing likes starting at 40 yrs +). I never had much exposure or interest other than the random rifle class in college.

Now that we live in the "country", I'm excited about getting into the shooting/outdoor sports. I just bought a M&P15-22 rifle a few weeks ago and having a blast with that. I'm working on getting my pistol permit (which can take 6+ months in NY) and will be looking at the M&P 9mm once I get that.

I'm sure I will be posting lots of dumb newbie questions ;-)
