Default Bodyguard .380 firing pin question

Taking a shot in the dark (ha) here, I read quite a few complaints about the firing pins breaking in the BG .380. I really like the pistol but the thought of a failure makes me wonder if mine will the day I ever "need" it. (hope that day never comes, but...)

So my question, is there anyone here that can direct me to someone who can make a good quality replacement that is far less prone to failure?

Or, can someone get me an extra pin and I'll talk to a machine shop about building some. In that case I'd need some info on material and heat treating as I have access to both of those.

The BG .380 would be in my opinion the perfect carry gun if this potential problem had never existed. I don't hear people complain about their LCPs or Kahrs having this issue. All the info I can get on this will help.
