Default FN Browning 1899 disassembly

I hope this is the place to post about non-S&W guns. Just took a 112 year old FN 1899 .32 acp pistol to the range. Functioned perfectly. I'm trying to disassemble it for cleaning, but for the life of me, I can't get the breech block screws out. From what I can find on disassembling the FN 1900, they should just turn out. Am I missing something, some difference in disassembly between the Model 1899 and 1900? They're pretty much the same gun. I hope someone here knows something about these guns. This is the forum I like to visit for help. Smith & Wesson forum rocks!
