In 30 years I've had a bunch of .22 LR handguns. The Ruger Mk. II's are very good. In my experience of camping and woods walking, etc., has been the S&W 18-3. It is just simply ideal for my purposes. I have not found anything that approaches it for utility, accuracy, portability and aesthetic satisfaction.
