Today I hit the range with my 2'nd Shield hoping it would perform as well as my 1'st one, it did. The more I shoot this great little pistol the more I like it. Here's a group shot offhand at 10 yards, this time with Winchester 147 grn PDX1. A friend who was wringing out some accuracy loads with his Shield started shooting some of the hotter loads. Although the manual says no to +P+ loads he tried some Winchester 127 grn Ranger +P+ which proved to be very accurate, so much so he decided to use it as his carry load. The Shield easily handled it and the recoil wasn't noticeably different from any +P load. I'm beginning to think that S&W is just protecting itself with the +P+ warning. All in all a great range day with this truly exceptional pistol.
