The day I bought my slightly used 625 Mountain Gun, I actually had to make the choice between it and a 4" 629.
The same consigner had just dropped them off at the local pro shop 5 minutes before I arrived. The shop owner knew I would be showing up shortly for my weekly range time, so he didn't even put them in the shelf. They were sitting on the counter waiting for me when I went in.
Both were in the same condition, and both had an asking price of $450. I already was re-loading .45 Colt so I made an offer on the 625 and went in to shoot, came out and left with 625 for $400.
I never regretted my choice, but often wish I'd had a little extra cash available at the time.
