I'd pick the 45 Colt, in the Mountain Gun format. For a 4" 44 Mag I like the standard heavier barrel. Too much recoil for quick, double action shooting in the light barrel 44 magnums.....for me anyways. The Mountain Gun in 45 Colt is about the perfect combination of caliber and weight.
