As long as you use it in .45 ACP with clips, probably not. If you use it in .45 Colt, the rim will not be fully supported. If you add that to the usual generous tolerances for .45 Colt chambers, it is not an ideal condition, but unless you are a real devil about accuracy (like some of us try to be ), that factor is probably not that critical. For me, it is enough so that I would not do it on my own gun. The other factor you might consider is that the gun cannot be fired with .45 ACPs without clips, since the cartridge cannot properly headspace without them. Generally, firing .45 ACPs in a long cylinder is not a real hot set-up all the way around, not to mention one with a chamber that is not proper for the cartridge.
