It was a docock only, melonite finished 5906. Came out around 2001 -2002. Originally made for a South American military contract IIRC.

The overuns were sold in the states. Very nice 5906 and the finish is very durable. Delivered in a red white and blue export box.

IIRC, member KurtC told us that this was S&W's first experiment with melonite. Their previous matte black finishes proving to be less than durable. Hope this helps! Regards 18DAI
