The 44 mag without hesitation. Partly because I already own several
44s and have dies and components for reloading but also for the
simple fact that the 44 is so versatile. Yeah when loaded to maximum
performance levels the 45 can throw a bigger heavier slug than the
44 can but who is going to shoot very many heavy loads in a Mountain
Gun? The smaller case with less airspace makes the 44 more user friendly with light to mid-range loads.
