Like many older forum members, my eyesight is fading. I was wondering if anyone has done a non-pinned K frame front fiber optic sight conversion? I've been thinking of milling off the fixed sight and cutting a 60 degree dovetail to fit a standard width dovetail fiber rod sight. If anyone has done this, i'd appreciate any tips- sight height used-photos- etc.

Also, if you've tried the C&S rear fiber leafspring sight, i'd like to hear your opinions.

Has anyone tried to fabricate a rear leaf with fiber rods using the standard S&W sight leaf? I have a spare after replacing mine with a white outline, but the outline is too fine and faint and I was thinking of building up the rear, drilling two holes and fitting some short fiber rod. Cheaper than the $80 that C&S want for their version. Any info appreciated!
