Well being the traditionalist that I am, six shots is just fine for me.

Since I carry a J Frame for SD and the max there is 5 shots, eight shots would only fit in a target or hunting size gun. IMHO any gun that is capable of holding 6 shots is too large for me to consider carrying anyway. For that purpose 6 shots would be enough anyway, so again, that's what I'll stick to.
