Jackrabbit,
It will work for the front sight, you just have to remove the bottom block, which requires you to remove the screw from the bottom and push the block out, then you will have to shim the slide up. I used wood shims until I got the height to line up with the front sight base. shim the sides of the clamping part so as to not mar your slide and the front sight will push out much easier than the rear sights do.
