Update: Apex contacted me, and after discussing the situation with Scott, he sent me a replacement striker spring. The new spring, according to my measurements, was slightly over 5.25 lbs, compared to the factory spring of 5.75 lbs and the original Apex Spring at 3.75 lbs. With the new Apex spring the trigger pull measured 5.5 lbs.

Put 150 rounds thru the SD with CCI & Wolf primers. Deep dimples in the primers, and 100% reliability.

I would say it's good to go for carry, but if your primers show shallow dimples or failures to fire, then use the factory striker spring.
