Have had both .44 and .45 Blackhawks, sold the .45 years ago,haven't loaded any .45 long Colt in years,but the brass had a pretty short life as I remember, but someone now makes a heaver case for the .45?
Had a .45 LC barrel for the Thompson Contender, very accurate, but there is a much wider choice of .44 bullets to load.
