I've just returned from the Fort Bliss Rod & Gun Club. It has the best facilities I've ever seen on a military installation rod and gun club. There are nine ranges for everything from pistol, skeet, trap to rifle; one rifle range is set up for the NMC and one goes out to 1000 yds. The vegetation on the ranges is rather sparse, though. Anyone can join, you don't have to be military affiliated. Yearly membership for retirees like me is $70. One day shooting, all day, $12, and with lunch at the club you could make a really long day out of it. I shoot here a lot, although I stay away from it on weekends; however I've never achieved my goal of shooting on all five workdays some week.
The clubhouse. I must have a list to starboard today.
Ranges going North.
Ranges going South.
I just finished shooting a Swiss K 31 and a Musgrave on Range 3, it goes out to 200 yds.
The bullseye pistol range. There is also a range for practical pistol and one for the Concealed Handgun Licence classes.
