To the OP: Love your 36. I have a near mint 3" model 36 from the late 1960's. I paid $450 for mine a year and a half ago, and I thought I got a bargain, so I think you did great on yours.

My suggestion: SHOOT IT now and then! I liked my gun when I bought it, but I LOVED it after I shot it. Just bought my second 36 last week.
