I don't want to see uniformed military guards on my 6 year olds school grounds toting the very same weapons(look the same) that are under scrutiny for civilians.Many CA schools have a local FTO on school grounds while school is in session some have as many 2 FTO's. They have an office on school grounds the kids know these officers and many have their entire elementary and high school experience with the same officer.The Officer learns about most if not all of the goings on with the student body and is able to respond with lethal force if need be.In light of the whacky things CA does this is an highly effective method of curtailing these events in schools that have these programs. I think some enhancement on current programs that use the FTO's to fit local conditions will be developed. A local police uniform is less upsetting than military uniforms and the nomenclature.
