Hey All,
About six months ago I started Operation Pawnshop Rescue. The idea being is to watch local pawnshops and, as funds permit, save select S&W's from an uncertain pawnshop fate. Once they're in my possesion, I intend to do my best to restore them to their past glory. Here are the first three...hope someone can give me some manufacture dates.
The first one I picked up was a Model 66-1 S/N 96K81xx. She already has a new set of Hogue rubber grips and a custom El Paso Saddlery pancake holster. The future holds a nice set of wood grips and a polish.

These last two were both picked up this week. The first a Model 19-2 S/N KJF41xx. The prior owner had carved and sanded a beautiful set of diamond coke target grips into ruin. Today I ordered a set of Ahrends Retro Combat grips. This peach will get a cleaning, polish, and the grips when they arrive.

Finally, is a Model 5906 S/N K7108xx. As I was wanting a 9mm pistol, she is in beautiful condition and will fit the bill. This one came with two Clinton era 10-round magazines, so today, I sent away for two 15-round magazines that one of this forums members has offered to sell me.

As I get the upgrades I've ordered and have returned these beauties to their past glory I will post additional photos. And I'm still on the lookout for additional rescues... pre-1980 M-29 6.5", M-27 6.5", M-66 4", M-14 6" K-38, and a Mod 17 6" K-22 are prime candidates.
[Now I need to figure out how to get the photos to post right, ;-)]
