I was at the local gun store today and saw that they had a model 58 in the used section. The blueing was in good condition (~95%), faint turn ring, tight lock up, "S" serial number prefix and didnt look like it was shot a whole bunch.

that was the good, now the bad and something I haven't seen before.

The grips aren't original, and on the crane opposite of where "mod 58" is stamped there were another set of numbers and some other markings that I couldnt make out.

Price was $760 but I know I can get at least 50 bucks off.

my questions are how much is an original set grips, what are these unknown markings/numbers and whats a good price.
