Beautiful examples of fine old S&W work. Thank you all for sharing.

But I am confused....IS there a difference between a pencil barrel and a tapered barrel? I have a Model 10-5, 4 incher, looks exactly like the pics RetiredW4 has posted (except I had the rubber Uncle Mikes grips on mine.)
