It wasn't "10 anything." It is too old for a model number. This is a postwar .38 Military & Police revolver from the late 1940s ('48 or '49?). I think it would need to be in pretty darn good shape and not refinished to be worth $575, but that is just my opinion.
Nonetheless, it would be an interesting acquisition, if you can get it for a good price. What did the stocks look like?
