Nothing wrong with the shrouded hammer 442/642. If desired, you can always put in an Apex kit like I did which made a huge difference in the pull. I also polished up some spots on the frame,sear and trigger which makes it a lot smoother. I'm currently waiting for some CT 405 grips to show up and it's gtg.

After owning a 638, I've realized that the fuzzies build up something fierce around the hammer when carried in a pocket which is why I went with a 642 this time around.
