Wouldn't being left handed pretty much eliminate the chance of any accidental switching the safety on or off?
I was thinking that if it's in the holster, it will be facing out. There will be pretty much nothing for it to touch or catch on. It has a solid snap into place and it's low profile, I never got the impression that there could ever be a chance of it accidentally switching on or off.
