Maybe I'm missing the boat with night sights. A pistol should be a natural extension of your hand. In fact, some trainors tell you to keep your index finger (trigger finger) extended toward the target, until you are ready to fire. So you are pointing at the target. A Shield has such a short barrel, I would think that this would be especially true. What benefit do the sights add?

I have also seen folks shooting night sights, in the dark, and misaligning the sight dots, shooting way left or way right. The orange ring on the OP's sights help with that, but I'm not sold on the overall benefit.
