If I had a two dot rear night sight, I would have to align the front sight in between the two dot rear sights. Usually the intended target is the two legged kind and standing vertical so it would take less time to lay the front sight on top of the single dot rear sight and pull the trigger, IMO

If I were considering night sights, that would be the route I would take.
Although not night sites, years ago, Sig Sauers had a rear post and a front dot. Put the pumpkin on the post and fire. It doesn't get any simpler than that. I never understood the 3 dot, or what it does better than the post and dot.
