Found a leather paddle holster for my 5904

Been searching high and low for a good paddle holster with retention for my 5904.

I wanted to go with Leather this time, as kydex tends to look "cheap".

So, after much google-fu and about to give up, I ran into this link:

Lots of adjustment in it and works with both jeans and dress pants with a 1.5" 5.11 belt.

I've had my 5904 in the holster now for several days and its "settled in" to where its snug, but not hard to draw from. The retention setup is well done.

By far one of the better leather holsters I have owned.

And the price was more than reasonable.

Well done on a good find.

I too own a 5904 - square trigger guard - and holster selection for this model are slim to scarce. I have a few that I found and subsequently modified to fit my needs.

I might have to try one myself. I especially like the wide range of adjustment.

Actually, I just purchased two paddle holsters yesterday, at the local gun show. I am already disappointed with them. The leather (the holsters themselves) are fine....and fit the pistols well. However, the paddle I think may be a bit too short and too flexible....because the holstered guns "bob" in and out a bit, when I walk. This is disconcerting and almost feels as if the rig will roll over and fall off. It won't - it just feels that way, to some extent.

The more time passes, the more I am realizing just how difficult it is to find a holster that will feel secure yet comfortable.....without having to order a custom model (and wait 6 months to get it). For what I've spent on holsters that aren't quite right, so far, I could have just gotten a couple of custom rigs.....and perhaps be better off.

Experience is such a good teacher, isn't it ?

I have a 5904 that rides in a retention holster for a Sig 226 with only minor modifications. For $14.00 it can't be beat.
