To my knowledge I never bought or shot a .22 Short... until a few weeks ago when the LGS was sold out of 22 LR, and no one else had any at all, but the LGS had .22 Shorts. At about $8/100rds., I figured... O.K.! I bought about 1,300 rounds, then found 300 more rounds at a ACE Hardware store. I've fired 100 through my 18-3 and... results were excellent out to the 25 yd. limit of the indoor range. I must admit, compared to $50/500 rs. of .22 LR, those little .22 Shorts are looking good. I'll save the .22 LR for my 15-22 and continue to shoot the .22 Shorts in my revolvers. (I say revolvers because it looks like next week I will be the owner of a 17-3. I had one way back when the world was young, and I guess I just decided to get another one. Hope it likes the .22 Shorts as well as my 18-3 does!
