Michigan requires a training class before getting a CPL. It is mandatory, I guess so. I was trained by my father, grandfathers and uncles. In the Air Force I was given more training. When I was assigned as a Air Policeman I was given more training. But I still needed to prove to the state I knew the basic of gun safety.
