I've been loading 4.5-W231 behind a hardcast 148gr DEWC or a 158gr soft SWC-HP. I loaded up a batch of 158's over 5.0-W231 but haven't gotten around to shooting them yet. Those might be a bit warm...the max load shown for that bullet in speer book #10 is 4.4 W231, but they show up to 5.4-W231 as a +P load for the 158 gr jacketed bullets so I think it'll be OK.
I like to use my Little Dandy measure for handgun loading instead of my bigger adjustable measure, but the problem is then you're stuck with whatever the next size larger rotor throws. I have drilled out a #12 rotor to create a #12-1/2 but didn't want to mess with that again. I think the 4.5 charge (#7) is probably enough so probably won't load any more with the #8.
