It is my understanding that the wood grips on NM Blackhawks and Vaqueros are rosewood. You said that when the XR3-RED came out, they had "smooth walnut". Did Ruger start with walnut and transition to rosewood, or have I been misinformed about the wood type, or are you mistaken?
