Just take it slow and easy and it'll be fine. On the front sight I used a small file. On the rear sight I started with using a file but then switched to my dremel. I used a cutting disc but used the flat part on top instead of the edge to get a smooth surface. I just held the sight in one hand against the flat part of the cutting disc at the original angle (on the front side of the sight). It ended up much easier than the file method and gave me a smooth even surface. Just take a little off each time and check it.
