Yes they are easy to dial in and yes it will help with dryfire practice.
To dial in clamp the pistol into something and adjust laser so that it matches the sights.
When practicing your trigger control through dry firing watch the laser dot, the less it moves during trigger pull the better you are doing.
The laser on mine is for bump in the night type stuff when I am half asleep. When I am not sleeping I carry with just a TLR1 because target ID is one of the four rules of gun handling and you never know under what lighting conditions you will need it, If god forbid you ever did need it.
