I do find that putting some kind of lightweight object on the slide while dry firing does help indicate if you can hold your pistol still during the trigger pull, since the object falls off. I guess a laser would help with movement, if you were watching it to see if it moved.

That is the method I use now and it took me awhile to be able to do it, but I can do it fairly regular now. I read somewhere that moving even an eighth of an inch can really affect your precision, but don't know if that is true.
