Beautiful gun!!!
However, are you sure that it is a .22? It looks more like a K-38 M&P Target. Reasons: 1) the taller front sight is consistent with all of my pre-war K-38 Targets, 2) there is a larger gap between the rear of the cylinder and the frame like on the K-38's (the K-22's all had counter-bored or"recessed" cylinders and fit closer to the rear of the frame), 3) A firing pin retention pin in the hammer for a hammer mounted firing pin, and 4) most telling - there is no pin right under the rear sight that holds in the internal firing pin mechanism of S&W K-22's.
Thanks,
