I know that there is legislation churning it's way through the legislature, but I think it's been defeated in the past.
From the Constitutional purist point of view any testing requirement comes with the potential to be abused. I liken it to literacy tests for being able to vote. Too much room for abuse in the wrong hands.

I CAN see and support for testing for Concealed Carry. I would hate to see a slew of those out there with CC-who don't know their butts from a hole-in-the-ground.
