I guess that I am like several others, I have owned both in the past. The 41 never did run right and two gunsmith's could not get it to run right. It went down the road. My Hamden 107 has been right for about 20 years now. I prefer the 1911 style thumb rest grips as well. If you have a good 41 I think they are equal. In the ones I had the HS had the better trigger and sights. Hard to say which is the "better", but you will not go wrong with a Hamden HS pistol. Magazines can be found from Brownell's and the HS company in Houston. they are tuned to CCI standard velocity rounds. Aftermarket mags are junk. I love S&W and may try another 41, but only if I get to test fire it first.
