Dude, you got it worse than I do!!!
Why don't you finish up the barrel and make it ALL Purdy.

Besides the barrel I also polished the tops of the two vertical arms that are on the trigger bar that contact the slide as well as the contact points on the slide itself, the side of the trigger bar and the face of the striker. I also polished the striker safety plunger to a mirror finish.

I did a bunch of dry firing (with a snapcap) before my Apex spring kit showed up and when I pulled out the sear assembly to replace the 3 springs from the Apex kit, I flushed it out really well with good ol' WD40. I'd noticed that the trigger was getting "smoother" even before I installed the spring kit in that it was less "gritty" than when new.
