What a great bunch of pics. I should have "liked" every one of them, although that understates the case by a bunch.

From a note I wrote to a rottie list 1/2/10 after the boys died 10 days earlier. Booboo liked to play, but sometimes Mack did not appreciate it and would put him in his place. The last time he was too old. It was ugly.

This is my first effort at any such thing. I really didn't have time to do
this, so it is unpolished. It was also very hard on me. Thee are fifteen
total slides, some of my favorite pictures. I don't know if the labels will
show; it seems like I have to enter them for every different purpose.

Brief Descriptions: I don't know if the titles show up.

Angel Sasha tolerated the costume. It was her true nature; probably the
sweetest and most stable of our dogs. Her RottXPit genes made her tough; she
made it to 13 or so, until one of her knees blew out.

Mack's grin was great.

Mack and Sasha often slept together; here they are on a dog bed.

Squeak was an 8 pound terror, small and mean. She made it to 20, when I
found her dead in her sleep next to Mack; she was raised by dogs and bonded
to Tiny, then Sasha and Mack. The little cat had a caution at every vet, and
managed to get banned from a kennel. She did not tolerate young rambunctious
Booboo well, and he got up on the chair under her this time, resulting in
this photo opportunity. They would fight later, and it took a while to get
him to leave her alone.

The next two pictures were taken in the spring of 2008; the dogs slept
together in a pile like that frequently, especially in the Winter. We saved
a lot of $$ on heat. Mack, given his preferences, would sleep like a person.
He sure did on the trip to Four Oaks for training that fall. I wish I had a
picture of Mack and his friend Pat engaged in undignified conduct in the
cabin.

Somber Booboo, sitting pretty and looking studious is next. He had a pouting
sad face, as did Sasha. Mack is relaxing on the floor, a dignified old man,
in the next photo.

The next two are of nephew Mason, happily wrapped up on Booboo, or vice
versa.

Mya and Booboo relax on the deck, the day she arrived (5/31/09). They had
frolicked, run, and tussled until they were panting and thirsty and almost
tired. In the next photo, Booboo is standing in the yard, resting between
play sessions about a week later and looking at the house, or for Mya. The
two are together in the grass later that afternoon.

In the early fall, Mack got to visit one of the neighbor cats, Ozzie. He's a
great and friendly cat, and Mack loved cats, so it was a win-win.

The last photo is of Booboo on a chair and his dog blanket, just waking up.

Mya keeps us going, but she is needy. She still wanders around and whines,
and sometimes seems to look for her playmate when she goes out the door.
Damn, it's hard.
